The responses garnered from these surveys helped to identify key areas in which Clean Cities’ efforts both financial and otherwise should be focused.

This assessment report provides perspective on the challenges fleets face when considering alternative fuel vehicle (AFV) and alternative fuel (AF) adoption. It gauged fleet-decision makers’ perceptions of barriers to alternative fuel adoption within Region 7 as well as baseline knowledge of AFs and AFVs in order to better understand fleet-decision makers.
Through our First Responder Safety Training program we delivered alternative fuel safety training to fire departments in Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Iowa. This program created the groundwork that led to development of the SAF-D project.
MEC developed two important resources to further fuel retailer education: the Mid-America Alternative Fuels Corridor Study and the Mid-America Fleet Assessment Reports.
