Since 1983, MEC has helped individuals, businesses, and local governments to clean the air coming from thousands of buildings and vehicles, all while raising awareness to improve the air quality for our entire region. In 2019 alone, our programs and technical assistance eliminated 12,639 tons of carbon dioxide from entering the atmosphere and 10.8 million gallons of gasoline in the Kansas City metro area.
